Ages 14–18 | 12 Sessions | Saturdays
The Trading Lab is a premium 12-week youth education experience combining sports analytics, financial literacy, market concepts, probability, research, strategy, portfolio management, and decision-making in an exciting, hands-on environment.
Students will explore sports markets using:
🏈 Football
🏀 WNBA
🎾 Tennis
Major Sporting Events & Market Opportunities
Students learn how to examine statistics, analyze performance, understand probability, identify risk, follow market movement, and make research-driven decisions.
This is not about guessing who wins.
All student trading activities are designed for education and simulation. No real-money wagering is required as part of The Trading Lab.
The Trading Lab was created to give teenagers exposure to skills many students don't encounter until college or adulthood.
Throughout the season, participants learn to:
Analyze Sports Data
Study athletes, teams, matchups, trends, statistics, injuries, and performance.
Understand Markets
Learn how information and probability can influence market pricing.
Manage Risk
Understand why every opportunity should be evaluated against its potential downside.
Build a Portfolio
Create and manage an individual educational trading portfolio.
Track Performance
Monitor decisions, outcomes, gains, losses, patterns, and progress.
Develop Strategy
Move beyond emotional decisions and learn to develop a repeatable process.
Present Their Research
Learn how to explain and defend a decision using data.
Build Financial Confidence
Become more comfortable discussing markets, money, probability, risk, and financial decision-making.
Every Trading Lab participant receives their own Personal Trading Lab Portfolio.
This portfolio becomes the student's record of their experience and can continue developing as their financial knowledge grows.
Students will document:
Rather than completing the program with only a certificate, students leave with something that demonstrates how they thought, what they learned, and how they developed.
Every Trading Lab student is supported by a Personal Portfolio Advisor throughout the program.
The advisor serves as a mentor and educational guide, helping students:
Develop their portfolio strategy, understand weekly concepts, review research, organize their portfolio, analyze results, identify mistakes, measure progress, and prepare for their final portfolio presentation.
The objective isn't to tell students what decision to make.
It's to teach them how to make better-informed decisions for themselves.
One of the signature benefits of The Trading Lab is the opportunity for participating students to receive a scholarship award associated with their participation in the program.
This transforms The Trading Lab from simply another extracurricular activity into an experience designed to contribute toward a student's future education.
Participating students receive scholarship support through the program, subject to the scholarship program's official eligibility, participation, completion, and distribution requirements.
If your formal scholarship arrangement is specifically funded through Marcus by Goldman Sachs, you could title this section:

Students don't just leave The Trading Lab with knowledge—they leave with an opportunity designed to invest in what comes next.
I would only publish the Marcus/Goldman Sachs name once the exact funding arrangement and permission to represent that relationship publicly are confirmed.
The final session isn't simply the end of class.
At the conclusion of the season, students and their families will attend the Trading Lab Completion Ceremony, recognizing the work and progress accomplished throughout the 12-week experience.
Students can receive recognition for areas such as:
Portfolio Achievement
Sports Analysis
Strategic Decision-Making
Portfolio Performance
Leadership
Program Completion
Each student will also receive their Trading Lab Certificate of Completion.
Parents get an opportunity to see what their student accomplished—and students get a moment that makes completing the program feel significant.
We've divided tuition into three payments rather than requiring the entire $1,400 upfront.
Your $350 registration deposit officially reserves your student's place in The Trading Lab.
The registration deposit is applied toward the total tuition and is non-refundable.
There are no additional tuition installments after Session 3.
